'Three abortions, pampered child and diamond necklace'; Noora opens up about family

Adhila Nasarin and Fathima Noora, the lesbian couple from Kerala, are now contestants on Bigg Boss Season 7. The couple had previously faced the ire of their families and conservatives for flouting the established norms in society. In the latest episode of Bigg Boss, Noora opened up about her family.

Noora:

“My father runs a supermarket in Saudi Arabia. The supermarket is named after me. My mother had me after three abortions. So many in my family considered me a blessing. I was thus pampered much. I used to share everything with my father. Even when I failed in an exam, I used to tell my father. It doesn't matter to him as he will tell me not to worry and score well in the next exams.

My father wanted to see me become independent with a well-paying job. He yearned to see me in a good position in life. However, my relationship with Adhila nearly shattered him. Many people complained to him that his daughter had sinned. I tried to talk a truce with him, but he was unyielding. I felt that he had been strongly manipulated.

When I left home, all I brought was the diamond necklace that my father had bought for me for the first time. I live with Adhila now, and my parents are disappointed. I was sure that my parents would not accept Adhila nor speak with her. I wanted Adhila to get my parents' love by some means. For the same reason, I gifted her my diamond necklace. At least through that, she would feel the love and care of my father.”
