THRISSUR: Youth Congress Kunnamkulam Chovannoor constituency president V.S. Sujith, who was brutally assaulted by the police, was given a gold necklace by DCC president Joseph Tajet as a wedding gift. Sujith's wedding is on the 15th.

Joseph Tajet presented his two sovereigns gold chain during the protest rally led by the Congress in front of Kunnamkulam station, demanding the dismissal of the policemen who assaulted Sujith. KPCC President Sunny Joseph announced that Block Vice President Varghese Chovannoor, who fought a long legal battle for Sujith, will be promoted to the DCC executive.
