17-year-old girl sexually assaulted in Kasargod; father and uncle go into hiding, local taken into custody

KASARGOD: A search is going on to find a father and uncle accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl from Ambalathara. The incident came to light after the girl, who had been behaving strangely, disclosed the abuse during a counselling session.

According to the girl's statement, her father first assaulted her when she was 10 years old. Her uncle allegedly sexually assaulted her two years ago. Later, a local resident named Vijayan also abused her. Police have taken Vijayan into custody.
