SULTHAN BATHERY: Padmaja, daughter-in-law of former Wayanad DCC treasurer N M Vijayan, said that she will no longer trust the Congress. Padmaja had attempted suicide yesterday after the KPCC leadership failed to fulfill the promises made. Padmaja alleged that although a memorandum of understanding was signed with the party to settle all the liabilities incurred by N M Vijayan related to party activities by June 30, nothing has happened yet.

Padmaja told media that there will be no compromise. 'I will file a complaint with the chief minister against the Congress leadership for cheating me. The documents of the house were not taken. The leaders will not pick up the phones if called. As per the agreement, Rs 5 lakh has still to be paid. KPCC chief Sunny Joseph and T Siddique are saying contradictory things. There should be clarity on that first,' Padmaja said.

Padmaja attempted suicide at her home in Pulpally Saturday afternoon. Padmaja's suicide note, which read, ‘Killer Congress, you have another victim,’ was also found. When her husband Vijesh fell ill and was admitted to the hospital, no one came to help them. The congress promised to meet the medical expenses, but did not. He was discharged after calling P V Anwar to the hospital. After returning from the hospital, went to her lawyer's office to get the memorandum of understanding made with the party, but did not get it.

The Kalpetta MLA said the memorandum of understanding was taken by the party president for a study. Has lost faith in the Congress party. The Congress is eliminating those working honestly. Padmaja had earlier said that even the land where she lives is pledged in the bank.
