Superstar Amitabh Bachchan posted his Onam greetings a week after the Onam celebrations. The actor shared the greetings in Malayalam along with a picture of himself wearing a kasav mundu, shirt and ponnada. When Malayalis trolled him for his late Onam greetings, the actor edited the post, gave an explanation and apologised.

Many pointed out the Bollywood Shahenshah's mistake after giving him Onam greetings in reply. Many reminded the star that last year Onam was on September 14, but it cannot be on the same date every time. Many people also asked him to inform his social media handlers about this. Some trolled him saying, 'Onam is over, come next year'.

Later, the actor himself edited the post and apologized and gave an explanation. Amitabh Bachchan said that he is seeing comments that 'Onam has passed its date', and that 'his social media agent may have made a mistake'. Big B explained that festive occasion is a festive occasion and its reverence and spirit will never be outdated. He expressed his apology in the facebook post.
