Unruly scenes witnessed outside Apple store as iPhone 17 goes on sale
MUMBA: Some unruly scenes were witnessed outside the store to buy the new iPhone 17 series. The incident happened in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex Friday morning. PTI, the news agency released the footage of the youths engaging in a fight. The youths got into an argument and clashed in front of the Apple store.
When the situation turned worse, a security officer can be seen in the video dragging a youth wearing a red T-shirt and taking him out. Another officer is seen waving a lathi and removing the youths from the front of the store. Apple has started selling the iPhone 17 series across India. Apple stores in Mumbai and Delhi are experiencing a heavy rush.
Mohan Yadav, who came to buy the phone, told media that the rush in front of many stores is due to the lack of security measures. He said that he has been standing in the queue since 5 am. Apple's outlet at Select City Walk Mall in Saket, Delhi is also experiencing a similar rush. Many people were standing in line in front of the outlet since last night to buy the new series. The situation is similar at many Apple outlets in Bengaluru.
Along with the regular iPhone 17 and the new iPhone Air, Apple has also launched the flagship models iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. The prices range from Rs 82,900 to Rs 2.3 lakh.
