PM Modi’s mother abused at rally hosted by Tejashwi Yadav
NEW DELHI: The BJP has come down heavily on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). BJP leader Amit Malviya has termed the RJD as a synonym for dirty thinking. Malviya's response came after he shared a video in which a person is seen abusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his mother during a rally attended by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.
‘In Bihar, the land of Mother Sita, the Prime Minister's late mother is being insulted again and again. Congress and RJD leaders are encouraging such insolent things through their official platforms. The other day, RJD workers abused the Prime Minister's mother in front of Tejashwi Yadav. Yet Lalu's son remained silent,’ Malviya wrote on X.
‘What is the point of insulting the Prime Minister's mother? It is a disgrace to be degraded in politics. RJD is synonymous with dirty thoughts. As long as RJD is in Bihar, Bihar will continue to be shamed,’ he added. Meanwhile, RJD MLA from Bihar's Mahua, Dr Mukesh Roshan, also came forward to respond to Amit Malviya's remarks. He said that no RJD worker has abused the Prime Minister.
‘No RJD worker has used bad words against the Prime Minister. Tejashwi Yadav is not heard speaking in the video shared by the BJP. They have edited the footage as part of a conspiracy to defame RJD,’ Mukesh Roshan said in a post on social media.
The controversy erupted during RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's 'Bihar Adhikar Yatra' in Samastipur, Bihar, for allegedly insulting the Prime Minister and his late mother. The controversy has intensified after another AI video of Modi's mother has already surfaced. The BJP alleged that Tejashwi Yadav did not intervene despite the abuse. The BJP also criticized the opposition, calling it disrespectful to women and the Prime Minister's family.
The arrest of a man for abusing the Prime Minister and his mother at a Congress event in Darbhanga in August had sparked a controversy. The BJP had repeatedly demanded that the opposition respond to this.
