NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address to the nation on Sunday, elucidated on the benefits that will fall on commoners after the proposed GST relaxation. PM Modi also announced the start of the GST Bachat Festival from tomorrow. The Prime Minister started his address by wishing all Indians a happy Navratri.

“This reform will give impetus to the growth of the country. The new reform will accelerate India's development. Everyone, including the middle class, youth, and farmers, will benefit. There will be relief from the tax burden. The government's decision is based on the will of the people. The dream of one nation, one tax is being realised. This reform will continue.
On the first day of Navratri, sweets will reach crores of households in the country in the form of GST reforms. GST 2.0 will be a benefit for the entire sector of the country. Earlier, there was a different tax in the country that made life horrible for commoners and the middle class. The tax burden will be lifted through these reforms. The scheme is introduced in a way to attract foreign investments in the country.”
