ALAPPUZHA: Minister KB Ganesh Kumar with support for NSS General Secretary G Sukumaran Nair. The minister said that nothing will happen to NSS if four Nairs from a family resign and added that he will stand behind the secretary like a rock. The minister has expressed his support for Sukumaran Nair following his re-election as the president of the Pathanapuram NSS Taluk Union.
'General Secretary G Sukumaran Nair is the strongest leader. Now, when you elect me as the president of the union again, the first thing I am doing is to declare that I will stand behind him like a rock,' said Minister KB Ganesh Kumar.
Protest flexes against Sukumaran Nair have once again emerged at various places. Banners with the caption of 'Save Nair Forum' appeared in Peringara near Thiruvalla. The main slogans on the banners are 'A good Nair cannot have a tradition of backstabbing', 'Traitor of the community, NSS General Secretary Sukumaran Nair, who insulted thousands who gathered to protect the rituals of Sabarimala Ayyappa Swamy, must resign'.
G Sukumaran Nair's pro-government remarks after the global Ayyappa Sangamam were much discussed. He openly expressed his faith in this government and supported the government on the Sabarimala issue.
