Drug mafia brutally in Argentina: Murder of three women including a 15-year-old livestreamed on Instagram

BUENOS AIRES: There has been widespread protest in Argentina over the brutal torture and murder of three women, including a minor, by a drug mafia. Lara Gutierrez (15) and cousins Brenda del Castillo (20) and Morena Verdi (20) were killed. The murder was livestreamed on Instagram. In the video, a man believed to be the mafia boss warned that this is what would happen if someone stole drugs.

The girls were kidnapped on the pretext of a party on the 19th. Five days later, their bodies were found buried in the yard of a house in the southern part of Buenos Aires. Three men and two women were arrested in the incident. The main mastermind of the murder, a 20-year-old Peruvian national, is absconding. There was a huge protest in Buenos Aires demanding the arrest of all the perpetrators. Holding placards with pictures of the victims, relatives of the victims marched to parliament.

Fingers cut off

The girls were subjected to brutal torture. The attackers reportedly cut off their fingers and pulled out their nails. They were later strangled to death. Brenda's father said that his daughter's body was beyond recognition. It is reported that the women used to do drugs and were involved in sex work without the knowledge of their families. However, their relatives denied this.
