Soldier dies in grenade explosion at Poonch in Jammu
SRINAGAR: A soldier was killed in a grenade explosion that occurred at 7.45 pm last night. The incident happened at the headquarters of 16 Rashtriya Rifles in Surankote at Poonch of Jammu and Kashmir. The dead is Sepoy Bhavesh Choudhary. The accident was caused by an accidental explosion.
The soldier was on security duty in the Surankote area. According to reports, the explosion happened due to mishandling of the grenade. The soldier was taken to the hospital after the accident, but his life could not be saved. The authorities confirmed the death of the soldier and started an investigation into the incident. The army ruled out the possibility of militant involvement in the accident.
