Man attempts suicide after killing wife undergoing treatment in hospital

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A man attempted suicide after strangling his wife to death. He killed his wife, who was undergoing treatment at SUT Hospital in Pattom. The dead is Jayanthi of Karakulam. After killing her, her husband Bhasuran jumped from the fifth floor of the building. His condition is stated to be serious.

Bhasuran is undergoing treatment in the hospital. His wife Jayanthi, suffering from kidney ailments has been undergoing treatment in the hospital for nine days. She was undergoing dialysis. He strangled her with the cable used for charging the electric bed. The police reached the spot and took further steps. The reason for the murder is not clear. The couple has two children. Reports said they have financial problems.
