'World’s first vegetarian bodybuilder'; actor and professional bodybuilder Varinder Singh Ghuman passes away at 42

AMRITSAR: Actor and professional bodybuilder Varinder Singh Ghuman (42) passed away following a heart attack. He had reportedly sought medical attention at a hospital in Amritsar after experiencing shoulder pain, where he suffered a cardiac arrest around 5 p.m. yesterday.

Varinder Singh Ghuman, known as the world’s first vegetarian bodybuilder, had appeared in several Bollywood films, including Tiger 3, Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans, and Marjaavaan.

Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu expressed condolences, describing Ghuman as the “pride of Punjab” and stating that his demise is an irreparable loss to the nation and the bodybuilding community.
