'Group of terrorists cyberbullying a fifth grader'; Singer Chinmayi Sripada comes in support of viral KBC kid
MUMBAI: Singer Chinmayi Sripada came to defend Ishit Bhatt, a Class 5 student from Gujarat, who is now at the receiving end of social media criticism and jibes after his participation in the television game show Kaun Banega Crorepati.
Ishit Bhatt, a contestant on the show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, gave a tough time for the veteran actor with his lofty talks that seemed incongruous for a child of his age. Ishit asked Amitabh not to waste his time telling him the rules but to proceed with the game. Ishit went on to answer four questions and even showed the nerve to answer before the options were provided. The audience showed surprise at Ishit's antics while Amitabh Bachchan was spotted clueless, trying to ameliorate the youngster.
Bhatt proceeded with the fifth question, adopting the same method to answer in haste, only to end up wrong and exit the show without any winnings.
Many deemed Ishit’s behaviour as disrespectful and opined that his parents should have taught him basic manners on how to talk in public. Singer Chinmayi Sripada has now come out against the trolls and memes against the child. Chinmayi particularly responded to one account that labelled Ishit as the ‘most hated child on the internet'.
Chinmayi said that the person who made the label was infamous for being a bigot and one of the most vulgar accounts on social media. The award-winning singer also called those attacking Ishit Bhatt terrorists.
