Bank manager run over by lorry in Cherthala

CHERTHALA: A motorist died after he was run over by a taurus lorry. He has been identified as Amal P Ben (33), son of Benson Joseph of Thuravoor panchayat ward one Pallithode Punnakkal. He was the manager of ESAF Bank in Cherthala.

The accident happened near the KVM Hospital while he was coming towards Cherthala from Kanjikuzhi. Amal’s scooter hit on the road and then fell under the lorry. He died on the spot itself after the lorry ran over him. The police arrived and registered a case. He leaves behind his wife Aleena Alosius (Rajagiri Public School) and mother late Magi Benson and daughter Amiya Mariya. His funeral will be held today at 3.30 pm at the cemetery of St Sebastian’s Church in Pallithod.
