'Many people used to visit her, strange behaviour'; University professor opens up about arrested woman doctor
NEW DELHI: More details emerged about Shaheen Shahid, a female doctor arrested in connection with the seizure of a large quantity of explosives from Faridabad. Delhi Police said Shaheen was working to establish a women's wing of the terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in India. Shaheen worked at Al-Falah University, located 45 km from Delhi.
Shaheen Shahod's colleagues are yet to come to terms after learning of her involvement in terrorist activities. The revelations made by a professor at Al-Falah University vindicated the doubts. The professor told the media that Shaheed was not disciplined and that she would occasionally go out without informing anyone.
"Many people used to come to meet her at the college. Her behaviour was often strange. Even complaints against her reached the management," the professor alleged.
The professor said that he would fully cooperate with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the case. The professor added that many people in the college had raised the demand to check Shaheen's personal records and her previous work history, but it was not initiated due to several reasons.
