THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The candidacy of Congress candidate Vaishna Suresh in the Muttada ward of the corporation is in uncertainty. According to the information provided by the corporation officials, there is a problem with the address given by Vaishna. The CPM had filed a complaint stating that the address given to include her name in the voter list was not correct and that she should be removed from the list.

Vaishna, who has a family home in Muttada, lives in a rented house in Ambalamukku. She had voted in the last Lok Sabha elections. Vaishna will not be able to contest if the CPM's complaint is accepted and she is removed from the voter list. Congress has decided to appeal to the Election Commission if that happens.

Vaishna Suresh is also the KSU district vice president. Vaishna had earlier responded that the CPM is afraid of defeat and that she is not worried. "The CPM has filed a complaint not only against me but also against many Congress members. I voted from there in the previous elections as well," Vaishna said.
