Massive fire in Thiruvananthapuram; three-storey building gutted

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A fire broke out near Kannanettumukku in Aryasala, in the capital city. The blaze occurred in a three-storey building that houses Universal Pharma. The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. Three units of the fire force are on the scene, and efforts to douse the flames are underway.

The fire on the ground floor has been brought under control. Locals were the first to notice the fire. They said the fire quickly spread to the upper floors and that they heard some explosions as well. Police and fire force personnel reached the spot soon after being alerted. Residents of nearby houses were evacuated, and gas cylinders were immediately removed from the homes as a precaution.
