Forgetting or losing stuff? No phone number necessary, install this Mobile app for others to return what you lost
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A mobile app that helps in finding anything lost, including vehicle keys. Dileep, a native of Edappal, Malappuram, developed the RingMe AI app and QR through a startup called 'Vexolix'. It is a device that came to his mind to overcome his own forgetful nature. The app has already been installed on the phone by about 700 people.
The RingMe app can be installed from the Play Store. The user will have to create an account by entering their phone number. They can download the QR code provided and paste it on their vehicle or key. Anyone can scan the QR and call the user when the user's vehicle is parked on a public road. The QR is linked to the vehicle owner's phone number. The caller does not have to install the app.
If a key or wallet is lost, the person who finds it can scan the QR and contact the owner's mobile. The QR can also be pasted on pet collars. Privacy will be protected as there is no need to share the phone number. Artificial intelligence services will also be included in the future. There is only one thing to note - this facility can be used for items other than mobile.
Video and voice call can be made to the app through QR. The app is free to use. The startup, which was launched two years ago, launched the app six months ago. The startup, registered in Bengaluru, is based in Kochi. Dileep, a mechanical engineer, has been working in the IT sector for twelve years. The seed fund was provided by Subhash Sasidhara Kurup, CEO of Watasale, an autonomous store acquired by Amazon.
