'Palaash going through tough phase, don't draw conclusions'; Relative responds to 'wedding cancelled' rumours

Stories of different hues are circulating regarding the postponement of the wedding of cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music director Palaash Muchhal. Now, Palaash’s relative Neeti Tak has come out on social media to respond.

The chat purported to be of Palaash’s with Mary De Costa earlier went viral on social media. Mary deleted her account after the issue became controversial. Neeti wrote on Instagram that Palaash should not be seen with prejudice because of such slanderous propaganda.

“Palaash is going through a very bad situation. People should not jump to conclusions without knowing the truth. Palaash should not be judged based on rumours,” said Neeti on social media.

Smriti and Palaash's wedding was scheduled for November 23. Hours before the wedding, Smriti's father, Srinivas, suffered a heart attack. Reports emerged that the wedding was postponed. Srinivas was discharged from the hospital the other day after his health improved, but the wedding-related matters have been put on hold for the time being.
