'I feel sad to make the victim’s photo public, Rema is that 60-year-old victim'; DYFI leader insults MLA

DYFI leader Sini Joy has come under criticism for insulting KK Rema MLA through a social media post. Sini is the DYFI Keezhkallayam unit secretary and a member of the Vattappara local committee. She made the offensive remark while sharing a photo of Rema sharing a stage with Rahul.

“I feel sad to make the victim’s photo public. But I have no choice but to stand with the victim. Rema is that 60-year-old victim,” Sini Joy wrote on Facebook. However, the post attracted severe criticism from many users.

Some of the comments included- 'Whatever the story is… ashamed that a woman posted this,' 'Yes, Rema was a victim—the wife of TP, whom your movement killed with 51 cuts,' 'Rema is a victim. The wife of comrade TP from Onchiyam, who was murdered with 51 cuts—not by Congress or BJP, but by Communist leaders themselves. TP’s only ‘mistake’ was questioning the party when communism drifted away from ordinary people and trying to unite true communists again. The result: a child lost his father, a wife lost her husband. Rema remains a victim—one who suffered due to the brutality of Communist extremists.'
