KOZHIKODE: Koodathayi murder case accused Jolly’s second husband Shaju was allowed to go home by the Crime Branch after he was subjected to day-long interrogation in the SP office on Monday.

SP P K G Simon told media that Shaju was questioned and allowed to go home on condition that he should return to the Crime branch office for further interrogation whenever he was summoned. He should also inform the police if he would be travelling to some other place.

“On October 3, Jolly was questioned from morning to evening. More persons are there to be questioned. Shaju’s statements and Jolly’s statements are being verified and any action can be taken against him only after evaluating the statements and evidence in the case,” said the SP, who also requested the media not to spread false news regarding the investigation and interrogation.

Expressing optimism in the progress of the investigation, the SP added that DGP Loknath Behera had called him up to tell that arrangements would be made to conduct case-related forensic tests abroad.
