Smriti Mandhana calls off wedding with Palash 

MUMBAI: Indian woman cricketer Smriti Mandhana has confirmed that her wedding with Palash Muchchal has been called off. She took to Instagram to share the news. This is her first response after her marriage was cancelled. This puts an end to the speculations that have been going on for weeks in connection with the wedding.

‘There has been plenty of speculation around my life over the past few weeks. I feel it is important for me to speak out at this time. I am a very private person and I want to keep it that way. I need to clarify that the wedding has been called off,' Smriti wrote on Instagram.

Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal were set to get married on November 23, 2025, after five years of dating. The pre-wedding celebrations went viral on social media. Initially, news broke that the wedding was being postponed indefinitely after Smriti's father Srinivas Mandhana suffered a sudden heart attack. Later, reports came that Palash Muchhal was also hospitalized due to health issues.

The initial reaction of relatives from both sides was that the wedding was only postponed temporarily and would take place soon. However, the removal of wedding-related posts from her social media accounts and her first public appearance without an engagement ring fueled rumors of a rift between the two.
