Malayali girl studying aviation course in Bengaluru found dead in rubber plantation; police searching for suspicious men spotted during missing
KOCHI: The body of a missing girl in Mundangamattam was found in a rubber plantation. Chitrapriya (19), daughter of Thuruthiparambil Shyju, was found in a deserted rubber plantation on the roadside near the Koorappilly climb in Malayattoor Sebiyoor. The initial conclusion is that it is a murder. It is reported that the police have arrested a youth in connection with the incident.
Chitrapriya's family had filed a complaint with the Kalady police that she was missing since Sunday morning. The body was found at 2.30 pm during a search conducted by colleagues at the catering establishment where Chitrapriya's mother Shiny works. The rubber plantation where the body was found was recently slaughter tapped. The body is two days old. She was wearing jeans and a top. Her arms and legs were injured. Forensic experts and a dog squad reached the spot. The body was shifted to Kalamassery Medical College.
Chitrapriya and Shiny had attended the Desavilakku function of Ayyappa Seva Sangh near Chitrapriya's house on Saturday night. They also attended Thalapoli. Shini returned home by 11 pm, but Chitrapriya did not. It is reported that she had left on a bike with her male friend. There is also information that two other people were seen with them on another bike in a suspicious manner in the Malayattoor area. The police are trying to find them.
Chitrapriya was a student in an aviation course in Bengaluru. Her father, Shyju, is a temporary fire watcher in the forest department. Her brother is Abhijith.
