'Not a single film starring Dileep will succeed, we will not allow it to succeed'; Bhagyalakshmi files complaint with DGP over false news

KOCHI: Actress and dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi has filed a complaint with the DGP against an online media outlet that spread fake news about her making moves against actor Dileep's movies. Bhagyalakshmi's complaint states that her photo was used along with the caption 'Not a single film starring Dileep will succeed, we will not allow it to succeed'.

I have been working as a dubbing artist in the Malayalam film industry for the past 51 years. It has come to my attention that, for the past three days, an online media outlet called 'Thalsamayam Media' has been spreading fake news on social media, posting the caption 'Not a single film starring Dileep will succeed, we will not allow it to succeed' along with my photo.

I have never made such a move, nor do I intend to. I will never do it. In addition, news that I am preparing to take legal action against UDF convener Adoor Prakash is also being circulated in the same media. I suspect that spreading such fake news is only to mislead society about my honest social work and to make the fans of actor Dileep turn against me. Therefore, I humbly request that strict action be taken against the media called 'Thalsamayam Media', which is spreading such false news.
