THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPI district executive has blamed Mayor Arya Rajendran and Deputy Mayor PK Raju for the setback suffered by the Left Front in the corporation in the local body elections. The party alleges that the reason for the loss of the Thiruvananthapuram corporation administration is their lack of political awareness and ward division.

Both the leaders of the administration have suffered a great loss of political consciousness. The mayor did not bother to discuss the alleged issues or find a solution. The party that contested in 17 wards was limited to just three seats. The CPI had ten wards last time. It is also assessed that the CPI will have to pay a heavy price if the necessary corrections are not made. The executive directed the constituency committees to examine the defeat in the wards in detail and submit a report by the 27th. The District Council will meet after this to examine the election results in detail.
