SIR: Draft list to be published on December 23; 24.81 lakh people will be removed from voter list

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in the state, the digitisation of all received enumeration forms has been completed. The draft voter list will be published on Tuesday. The Chief Electoral Officer will approach the cyber police against fake campaigns being spread on social media by projecting the draft as the final list.

With the deadline for submitting enumeration forms ending, 24.81 lakh people will be removed from the voter list. Those excluded include deceased persons, individuals who could not be traced by Booth Level Officers (BLOs), those who have permanently relocated, voters whose names appear in more than one booth, and those who did not submit the required forms. The booth-wise voter list has been published on the Chief Electoral Officer’s website.
