CPM activist collapses and dies amidst shouting slogans

ALAPPUZHA: A CPM worker collapsed and died during the oath-taking function of the people's representatives in Kandalloor Grama Panchayat. The dead is Manoharan Pillai (60) of Puthiyavila Kaithakkattusseril Kizhakhathil. The incident happened when the oath-taking function of the new administrative committee was in progress at the Panchayat Hall. Manoharan Pillai, who was shouting slogans with enthusiasm, suddenly collapsed.

Although his colleagues and relatives immediately rushed him to a private hospital in Kayamkulam, his life could not be saved. Manoharan Pillai, a retired panchayat employee, was an active CPM worker in the area.
