Senior civil police officer Umesh Vallikunnu terminated from police force on charges of serious breach of discipline

KOZHIKODE: Senior civil police officer Umesh Uallikunnu of Kozhikode has been terminated from the state police force. He is presently under suspension. He has been dismissed from the force on charges of serious breach of discipline. The action was taken by Pathanamthitta SP.

He had frequently criticized the Kerala police system and senior offices on social media. He was subjected to disciplinary action about thirty times. He was under suspension for quite some time. Meantime, he said that he will file an appeal with the DIG and will approach the tribunal against the dismissal.
