It is said that the younger generation does not give much importance to relationships and does not maintain emotional closeness. However, the new generation itself has come forward to oppose such a generalisation. Their argument is that in modern times, there are more facilities to decide whether to continue a relationship or not, and the new generation is using them correctly.

There are many ways to know whether someone is the right partner for you or not. The new trend is to end the relationship while maintaining friendship once you realise that moving forward together is not good for both of you. Various theories are used today to determine the viability of relationships. One such theory is the Bird Theory. It is said that you can use this theory to understand how much interest your partner has in continuing the relationship.

What is the Bird Theory: Bird Theory says that you can tell if you are with the right partner and if they are emotionally attached to you by just one sentence. 'I saw a bird today'. The new generation has discovered that the direction of that relationship can be assessed depending on how your partner reacts to this.

When your partner hears that you saw a bird, be happy if they are curious to know more about it and ask questions like which bird, where you saw it, what color bird, etc. That is a positive sign. On the other hand, if they completely ignore the statement without any interest, don't reply, or make fun of it, it is said that it shows a lack of emotional intimacy.

However, there are many critics of this theory. There are also many who suggest that a person's mental state may vary and that the way they hear and respond to things may change depending on their mood.
