"Pinarayi Vijayan appointed theft case suspect as a minister": VD Satheesan says government is supporting thieves
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Despite the opposition's disagreement, Pinarayi Vijayan kept Antony Raju, the accused in the evidence theft case, as a minister for two and a half years, said Opposition Leader VD Satheesan. Satheesan also mocked that it has once again been proven that the government is aiding thieves.
"The case is that the underwear (evidence) was taken, cut up and manipulated to save the foreigner who was arrested after hiding drugs in this underwear. Pinarayi Vijayan made the accused in such a serious case a minister. Despite the opposition taking a stand against this, Pinarayi Vijayan kept him as a minister for two and a half years. A case was later registered for destroying evidence only because the court had doubts about acquitting the accused foreigner. What the LDF and the CPM are still doing is protecting the accused," Satheesan alleged.
"The CPM is still protecting the accused in the Sabarimala gold robbery case. It has been proven once again that this government is sheltering the robbers," Satheesan said.
Discussions have not started with any of the UDF allies. Bilateral discussions will begin soon. Still, the media is trying to create a stir. The opposition leader also said that the LDF is more likely to be in trouble than the Congress. On one side is the UDF team, and on the other side is the disintegrated LDF. Chathiyan Chandu and PM Shri are also in the LDF, said VD Satheesan.
