THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Activist Rahul Easwar responded to the new complaint filed against him just days after being released on bail. The woman, who filed a sexual harassment complaint against MLA Rahul Mamkootathil, filed another complaint against Rahul Easwar, alleging that the activist violated the bail conditions.

Rahul Easwar, who termed the complaint as fake, questioned the value of truth and justice in society.

“It is a shame. Is there no truth of justice left in this country? Some people are weaponising the law and silencing dissenting voices, fearing social audit and criticism. Think about how easy it is to trap men. It is high time we ask the police and the judiciary to stop this hunting targeting only men. The condition is so dangerous that anyone can be trapped and put in jail using a false complaint. A men's commission must come. The court never put any condition that I should stop talking to the media or making videos. I may be jailed again using this fake complaint, but at the end of the day, I want to ensure freedom for men.” said Rahul Easwar.

Rahul Easwar was earlier arrested for charges including cyberbullying the complainant, who alleged facing sexual assault from Rahul Mamkootathil MLA. After spending 16 days in jail, the court granted bail to Rahul Easwar with strict conditions. The woman filed a new complaint alleging that Rahul had violated these conditions. On Saturday, the victim’s husband filed another complaint with the chief minister against Rahul Mamkootathil MLA, alleging that the Congress leader maintained a relationship with his wife despite knowing that she was married.
