Police officer found dead in bedroom

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A police officer was found to have committed suicide. The dead is assistant sub inspector Shibumon (49) of Varkala. He had been working at Anchuthengu police station for two years. He was found hanging in his bedroom early Friday morning.

Initial reports say Shibumon had financial obligations. He was constructing a new house. The body has been shifted to the mortuary of Paripally Medical College Hospital. The body will be handed over to his relatives after postmortem.
