Development goals Kerala can achieve: Kerala Kaumudi Conclave to be inaugurated tomorrow by Union Minister Amit Shah
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 'New India, New Kerala' conclave series, organised by Kerala Kaumudi, which is on the idea of how a new Kerala should align with India's rapid growth, will commence tomorrow. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the conclave at 3 pm at Hotel Lemon Tree. Kerala Kaumudi Chief Editor Deepu Ravi will preside over the function. Ranjith Karthikeyan will deliver the introductory presentation.
The country has achieved tremendous growth in the economic, social, industrial, commercial and foreign relations sectors in the last two decades. India has grown to become the world's fifth largest economy. The country has also made significant progress in areas such as aerospace, defense and arms manufacturing. India has achieved major changes in the standard of living of the people, infrastructure development, rail, road and air transport.
Kerala is also preparing for development along with this. Kerala is trying to catch up with the country's growth with the construction of the Vizhinjam port, the six-lane railway line, and the implementation of trains, including Vande Bharat in rail transport. Kerala Kaumudi aims to clearly mark the development goals that Kerala can achieve in the next twenty years and to draw the attention of the people and the government to them.
The conclaves for goal setting in various sectors, which are being implemented as part of the 114th anniversary celebrations of Kerala Kaumudi, will begin tomorrow. The conclaves, which will be implemented with the participation of experts from other sectors of the state and the country, will be a guide for the future.
