14-year-old Karamana native missing for three days now; police focusing on CCTV footage
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three days have passed since the disappearance of a 14-year-old girl from Karamana Karimugal. Lakshmi, the daughter of Santosh Kumar and Aswathy, went missing on Friday morning. CCTV footage of her standing at Thampanoor Central Railway Station was found, but no efforts could help track her itinerary since then.
The ninth-grader left her home at around 5 am on Friday, wearing a mask and carrying a bag. Her parents were asleep at the time. Lakshmi took an auto and reached Thampanoor railway station. Her family and relatives searched for her but to no avail, so they filed a complaint with the Karamana police.
The footage was obtained after further investigation at the railway station. The police have advised anyone getting information about the child to report it to the Karamana station. It is reported that Lakshmi travelled without a mobile phone, turning the task more arduous for the officials.
