NEW DELHI: Writer and lyricist Nilesh Mishra has alleged that an IndiGo airline staff member behaved rudely towards his 10-year-old daughter. Mishra said his daughter, Vaidehi, who was travelling alone on an IndiGo flight from Lucknow to Goa, was treated harshly by the staff member. He made the allegations in a post shared on X.

In his post, Mishra wrote that the staff member spoke to his daughter in a rude manner, saying, “This girl is disturbing me. She is very clever. Don’t you have eyes? Go and eat your food.” He added that the staff member spoke even more harshly than this. Mishra alleged that even after he contacted the staff member over the phone, she continued with the same rude behaviour.

"Everyone knows about IndiGo's arrogance towards adults. Today, I saw the same behaviour towards a child. I had to call and speak to that person, but she continued with the same attitude. You should be ashamed," Mishra wrote. He also tagged the airline in his post.

Responding to the post, an IndiGo spokesperson said the airline has taken the matter on priority and assured that a detailed investigation into the incident will be conducted. Nilesh Mishra is the lyricist of films such as Barfi and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and the screenwriter of Ek Tha Tiger.
