Another police reshuffle: Mahesh appointed Thiruvananthapuram Rural District Police Chief; Kochi City Police Commissioner Harishankar transferred
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police department has seen another senior-level reshuffle. IG Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar has been appointed as the Kochi City Police Commissioner. Harishankar, who was appointed as Kochi City Police Commissioner a week ago, had gone on leave until the 22nd. He has now been transferred and appointed as DIG of the Armed Police Battalion. Juvanapudi Mahesh has been appointed as the new Thiruvananthapuram Rural District Police Chief.
Wayanad District Police Chief Taposh Basumatary has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of law and order in Thiruvananthapuram City. D. Jayadev has been appointed as the Kozhikode City Police Commissioner. T. Narayanan, who was serving as Kozhikode City Police Commissioner, has been transferred as DIG of the Thrissur Range. Arul R.B. Krishna, who was DIG of the Thrissur Range, has been appointed as DIG of the Ernakulam Range.
Hemalatha has been appointed as the Kollam City Police Commissioner. Kiran Narayanan, who was the Kollam Commissioner, has been transferred as SP of the State Special Branch. K.S. Sudarshanan, who was serving as Thiruvananthapuram Rural SP, has been appointed as the Ernakulam Rural District Police Chief.
K.E. Baiju has been appointed as AIG of the Coastal Police. Padamsingh has been appointed as DCP in charge of law and order in Kozhikode City. T. Farash has been appointed as the Kozhikode Rural District Police Chief. Arun K. Pavithran has been transferred and appointed as the Wayanad District Police Chief. Mohammed Naseemudeen has been appointed as the new Railway SP. K.S. Shahan Shah has been appointed as DCP-2 in charge of law and order in Kochi City.
