THRISSUR: Minister V Sivankutty said that the 64th State School Kalotsavam will be marked by the historic intervention of Kerala Kaumudi. The minister's response was based on the news published by Kerala Kaumudi, which led the government to decide to build a house for Sachu Satheesh, a Plus One student of Kasaragod Kamballur School. The minister said this when he visited the Thrissur unit office of Kerala Kaumudi to share his happiness with Sachu and his mother.

"This time, the Kalolsavam will be marked by two important events. The first is that a house is being prepared for Sachu and his mother because of Kerala Kaumudi. The second is that for the first time, a child is competing online in the Kalolsavam. The Kerala Kaumudi's action of finding out Sachu's difficulties and publishing them is very commendable. Kerala Kaumudi always carries out such socially responsible interventions. May it continue," the minister said. The minister gave sweets to Sachu and his mother Bindu.

Prabhu Warrier, Deputy Editor and Chief of the Kochi-Thrissur units of Kerala Kaumudi, welcomed the minister with a bouquet. Special Correspondent Kovalam Satish Kumar, Bureau Chief Bhasi Pangil and Sachu's teacher Baiju were also present.

Land will be provided free of cost: Minister Rajan

Minister K Rajan told Kerala Kaumudi that if Sachu needs land to build a house, the Revenue Department will find it and provide it free of cost. "The government assures that it will do everything necessary for the house. An urgent report was received from the District Collector on Friday night itself. Such interventions by Kerala Kaumudi are highly commendable," the minister said.
