Kannur emerges champions of state school Kalosavam, lifts golden cup

THRISSUR: Kannur has emerged the champions of the 64th Kerala School Kalolsavam and wins the prestigious gold cup. Thrissur, the present champions have bagged the second place. Kannur has regained the cup it lost last year by a narrow margin. Kannur, which had been leading the competitions since the beginning, had expressed confidence of winning the title. It was confirmed that Kannur had won the gold medal after the results of the most recent competitions and the appeal results were released.

Kannur came first with 1028 points and Thrissur came second with 1023 points. Kozhikode and Palakkad clinched the third and fourth spots with 1017 and 1013 points.

Alathur Gurukulam Higher Secondary School came first among the schools.

Opposition leader V D Satheesan will inaugurate the closing ceremony to be held in the evening. Mohanlal will be the chief guest.
