"There were controversies around the news that I will not act with Kalabhavan Mani. He himself had told the reasons behind it in an interview. If I respond to those criticisms again, many people will likely come to criticize and support me once more. Why create such a situation again? I should not give a chance for it to comeup again. I have not responded to it anywhere; I have been sitting silently. My loved ones are telling me to respond. Yet I have not tried to justify it. That issue is still haunting me," said Divya Unni.

Recently, director Vinayan had revealed the truth about the issue related to Divya Unni. The question raised against Vinayan was, "Vinayan sir said that an actress said that she would not be the heroine of Kalabhavan Mani, is it about this movie?" to which Vinayan responded that this is not that movie and that the actress is not Divya Unni.
