"No developmental achievements to speak of, talk was only about communalism": VD Satheesan lashes out against BJP
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan said that it is dangerous to sit in the Prime Minister's chair where the greats sat and shout communalism. Satheesan also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech made it clear that the election agenda of the BJP and the Sangh Parivar in Kerala is only communalism.
"No developmental achievements to speak of. Did not move his tongue to talk about the future of the country or the priorities of Kerala. Instead, the talk was only about communalism. That is tantamount to distorting the great idea of India and the values of the country," V.D. Satheesan added.
"Modi and the BJP will soon realise that this is a secular Kerala. The divisive politics and communal propaganda being played out in many states are useless on the soil of Kerala. The first priority of the Congress, the League and the UDF is to protect secularism. We will go to any lengths to bury the communal forces in this soil and protect secularism. Neither the Congress nor the UDF has a blind policy of pandering to communalism for the sake of four votes or winning an election. The secular vision of the Congress and the UDF does not need Narendra Modi's certificate," Satheesan added.
