'Grabbed my waist, made obscene remarks'; Actress Mouni Roy shows middle finger at crowd, walks out of Karnal event

Bollywood actress Mouni Roy alleged facing sexual assault while entering the stage for an event in Karnal, Haryana. The actress shared the ordeal through an Instagram post. The actress alleged that the men present near the stage touched her waist without her permission and made obscene gestures. The actress said that these included men who were old enough to be grandfather.

“While taking photos, many casually rested their hands on my hips and even grabbed me without permission. This made me uncomfortable. Later, when the program started, two people who were old enough to be called grandfathers made obscene gestures at me. I had to request them to stop it.” Mouni said that a few in the crowd even recorded her video in a 'sleazy' manner.

In the video, Mouni was seen storming off the stage midway through a dance, which is indicated to be a response to the lewd gestures from the crowd. Mouni also showed an indecent ‘middle finger’ gesture at the crowd while walking away from the event.

Mouni Roy entered the acting scene in 2006 with the film 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. After starring in the first two parts of the supernatural thriller series Naagin, Mouni became one of the highest-paid Hindi television actresses.
