Sub inspector attacked during ganamela in Nagaroor 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A cop and some locals jointly attacked a sub inspector during a festival in Nagaroor. CPO Nandu of Pallikkal Station beat sub inspector Ansar at 10 pm last night. Nandu along with some others and the locals created a commotion during the ganamela. Seeing this, Ansar along with other cops had solved the issue.

After the programme, Nandu and some locals thrashed the sub inspector when he was returning home. They then pushed Ansar into a drain. The police had taken them into custody from the spot. A case has been registered against them for obstructing the execution of official duties and for attacking him.
