'CPM will accept any plan that can take a person from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod in four hours': MV Govindan
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary MV Govindan has responded to E Sreedharan's criticism that the RRTS is a stupid project. MV Govindan clarified that the CPM will accept any plan that allows a person to reach Kasaragod from Thiruvananthapuram in four hours; however, there is a dispute within the UDF on this issue. Govindan said that the need is a high-speed rail line, whether it is K-Rail, Sreedharan's or the one announced recently.
'Sreedharan is the person who contested last time saying that he is the Chief Minister of Kerala. He will correct everything he says later,' MV Govindan mocked. 'K-Rail was started with a guarantee from the Central government; it was not started for nothing. It is a project that the Centre and Kerala brought together. The Centre did not give permission due to political reasons. There is a record of the DPR being prepared for the project. The concerns of the people due to the installation of stones for the project will be resolved,' MV Govindan clarified.
