'Madly in love for past six years; couldn't believe news at first'
Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music director Palash Muchhal’s relationship yet again grabbed headlines after actor Nandish Singh Sandhu opened up about the events that led to the marriage being called off. Initial reports suggested that the marriage was postponed due to Smriti's father's health problems. However, within days, Smriti came forward with the revelation that she was withdrawing from the marriage.
In an interview with MissMalini, Nandish gave an account of the happenings that led to the late-night drama.
“I went to attend the function that day. It was only then that I learned that the marriage was postponed due to Smrithi’s father’s sudden health ailment. Later, I went back home, and after a few days, I got to know that the marriage had been cancelled. I was shocked.
For someone who knew how these two were in their dating time, the news was impossible to believe. They have been madly in love for the past six years. They made such a good couple. People should also show the decency to hear Palash's side in the case."
Palash and Smrithi were supposed to get married in November last year. However, rumours suggested that the singer was caught cheating on Smrithi just days before her marriage. Some chats and screenshots that corroborate this were later released.
