Three-old boy drowns during mother’s maternity photoshoot

BENGALURU: A three-year-old boy drowned in a pond during his mother’s maternity photoshoot. The incident happened Saturday afternoon. The dead is Lakshmeer, son of Charan Raj and Swathi. Lakshmeer came with his mother Swathi, who is eight months pregnant, for a maternity photoshoot. When she was busy with the photoshoot, the boy slipped and fell into the pond.

The incident did not come to the notice of the people there. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. The police have registered a case and are investigating whether there was any negligence during the photoshoot.

Swathi’s husband Charan, a software engineer is in US for work. The body of the child was handed over to the family after post-mortem. Police said Charan has been informed and is returning to Bengaluru.
