Ajit Pawar's death a conspiracy: Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu's resignation demanded

MUMBAI: NCP (SP) leader Rohit Pawar has demanded an independent criminal investigation into the plane crash that killed Ajit Pawar and the resignation of Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu. Rohit Pawar is the son of Rajendra Pawar, Ajit Pawar's cousin. Rohit reiterated the allegation that there were extra fuel tanks in the plane and asked why no action has been taken against the charter company VSR Ventures Private Limited. He demanded that a high-level monitoring committee be formed to investigate the incident, which should include former officials, former judges, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and family members. There have been demands from many quarters for a comprehensive investigation into the plane crash.

Sunetra demands CBI probe

A group of NCP leaders met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis demanding a CBI probe into the incident. Deputy Chief Minister and Ajith's wife Sunetra Pawar and senior NCP leaders met Fadnavis. The plane carrying Ajith and his team crashed on January 28 while attempting an emergency landing in Baramati.
