Good news for KSRTC employees from Minister Ganesh Kumar; Promotions to be implemented, finances not an issue
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Transport Minister K B Ganesh Kumar said promotions will be implemented in Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). The minister said promotions will be implemented in all posts and deserving candidates will be identified and promoted. He said promotions will be given even if there are financial obligations. Those belonging to left-leaning unions are deeply angry over the non-implementation of salary revision and non-payment of DA including arrears. Hoping the decision to give promotions will resolve these issues to some extent.
The reforms implemented under the leadership of Minister Ganesh Kumar have improved the financial condition of KSRTC. Employees are given their full salaries on the first day of the month itself. Along with the implementation of the reforms, the success is also in introducing buses with modern facilities that leave even private buses behind. The minister clarifies that such reforms will continue.
Meanwhile, the driver who dropped off Sabarimala pilgrims on the way has been terminated from service. The driver terminated is N Saji Kumar of the Poovar depot. The conductor was transferred to Kanhangad unit. The minister said that the conductor's transfer will be canceled if the investigation finds him not guilty. Instead of dropping the group consisting of women and children at the Nilakkal bus stand, they were dropped off at the area beyond the Nilakkal Gopuram, which is a forest area.
