Filmed nude visuals, raped more than 20 women after promising marriage; ​Insta influencer Yadu arrested

THRISSUR: ​Insta influencer arrested on complaint of rape on promise of marriage. Yadu Girish (38), a native of Thannyam, Thrissur, was arrested. Three women had filed a complaint against him. In a detailed investigation, the police found that more than 20 women had been raped.

The Thrissur Crime Detachment has updated that more complaints are coming in. Yadhu Girish is a vlogger with a large following on Instagram. The Insta influencer was molesting women by promising them marriage after establishing a friendship with them. After establishing intimacy with the women, Yadhu would call them to various places and molest them. He threatened the victims by filming nude videos of them. The complaint also states that Yadhu took money from the women. The investigation team led by the Thrissur Crime Detachment ACP is trying to record the statements of other women who were molested. A case under the IT Act has also been registered against the accused.
