Another report from a national media outlet says that the wedding ceremonies will begin at 10 a.m. on February 26. In the morning, the rituals will follow Telugu traditions and culture, and in the evening, ceremonies will be conducted according to Kodava customs. Vijay belongs to the Telugu community, while Rashmika is from the Kodava community, and the wedding will respect both cultures. There are also reports that a grand wedding reception for film industry celebrities will be held on March 4 at Taj Krishna in Hyderabad.

Rashmika and Vijay first worked together in the 2018 film Geetha Govindam. Rumours about their relationship began to circulate during the shooting of the film. They later acted together in the 2019 film Dear Comrade, which further strengthened the rumours about their relationship.
